Job summary

First Day Homecare® is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide skilled pediatric homecare services in Michigan. You will perform nursing functions under physician orders and according to the Nurse Practice Act, delivering care in the client’s home.

This full-time role covers day shifts for infants in Laingsburg and Potterville, emphasizes safety, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to agency policies.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current license to practice as an LPN in the state of operation is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insurance as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
• Follow physician orders and client care plans.
• Document changes in orders in the medical record per agency procedures.
• Perform clinical tasks including pediatric care, monitoring, medication administration, and client teaching.
• Collaborate with the care team and promote a safe environment.
• Operate in compliance with agency policies and accreditation standards.
• Coordinate care and participate in agency meetings.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours

• Infant aged child in Laingsburg in need of day shift on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
• Infant aged child in Potterville in need of a full time day nurse

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
