BrightStar Care is looking for dayshift nurses to join our team! This opportunity offers a 1:1 patient to staff ratio. We offer fully paid training and have full-time cases available immediately. Job Responsibilities:

• Hands-on patient care, including g-tubes, medication management, trach care, ventilator care, ADLs, vital signs.
• Collaborating with families, admin team, and licensed prescribers to keep medical records current and reflective of patient needs.
• Monitoring patients throughout the day and reporting any concerns or changes to the DON.
• Providing care according to the plan of care and following Kansas nursing standards and Joint Commission standards.

Responsibilities may vary based on individual patient needs.

Position Requirements:

• A current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (multistate preferred)
• Current CPR Certification (BLS - Red Cross or American Heart Association) — we offer a class at a reduced cost if needed
• Negative TB skin test (within the last year)
• Adherence to HIPAA and maintenance of client confidentiality
• Laptop or tablet for charting in patients' homes
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
• Proof of Flu vaccination (highly recommended to increase shifts)
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work at least 30 hours/week to qualify for free health insurance
• Access to free unlimited Telehealth visits with primary care, urgent care, and mental health professionals
• Over 1,000 free generic prescriptions
• Free dental services, including two cleanings per household, preventative X-rays, and a Bluetooth toothbrush
• PTO
