Job summary

Vertus HealthCare is actively hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide private duty nursing in patients' homes in Florida. Flexible 8–12 hour shifts include day, night, and weekend assignments.

Direct nursing care, med administration, and ongoing monitoring are key responsibilities. Ideal candidates hold an active Florida LPN license with 1+ year of nursing experience, preferably in private duty/home health, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active Florida LPN license.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience preferred.
• Private Duty Nursing or Home Health experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy, ventilator, or medically complex patients is a plus.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to work 8–12-hour shifts.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under the direction of an RN or other authorized healthcare provider.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and permitted by scope of practice.
• Monitor vital signs, patient conditions, and responses to treatment.
• Provide tracheostomy, ventilator, feeding tube, and wound care when qualified, authorized, and assigned.
• Assist with activities of daily living as appropriate.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly.
• Maintain complete and accurate nursing documentation.
• Follow individualized Plans of Care and company policies.
