Job summary

Safe and Sound Home Care, a family-owned agency, is seeking Private Duty Caregivers to support older adults in the Olive Branch/Southaven area in North Mississippi. You will provide personalized in-home care, assisting with daily activities and companionship with kindness and patience.

We offer paid training, access to early pay, PTO, and strong care supervisory support to help you excel while delivering dependable, compassionate care to clients in their homes.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and insurance.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• At least 1 year of experience (preferred, not required).
• Pass background screening requirements and undergo drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Redirect, stabilize, and offer oversight to reduce confusion and anxiety for clients.
• Assist with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meals.
• Support home environment with routine needs like laundry, light cleaning, and space upkeep.
• Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and assist with grocery shopping.
• Provide companionship and engage clients with conversation, music, crafts, and other activities.
• Provide specialized care for individuals living with Alzheimer's, dementia, stroke recovery, Parkinson's, diabetes, and end-of-life care.

As a Private Duty Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting older adults and adults with disabilities in their homes by providing personalized care and support.

Responsibilities

• Redirect, stabilize, and offer oversight to reduce confusion and anxiety for our clients
• Assist with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meals while providing kindness, patience, and meaningful support
• Support a calm and welcoming home environment by helping with routine needs like laundry, light cleaning, and keeping the space neat and comfortable
• Assist clients with staying active and engaged by driving them to appointments, completing errands together, and assisting with grocery shopping
• Foster emotional well-being by spending quality time with clients through conversation, music, crafts, and other activities that bring joy and connection
• Provide specialized, compassionate care for individuals living with Alzheimer's and dementia, stroke recovery, Parkinson's, diabetes, and those receiving end-of-life support
