Job summary

Safe and Sound Home Care is seeking Private Duty Caregivers to support older adults and adults with disabilities in their homes across North Mississippi. You will provide daily living assistance, transportation, and compassionate companionship to help clients start and end their days with confidence.

We emphasize dependable, patient care and a supportive supervisory team. Background screening and drug testing are required, and 1 year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide redirection, stability, and oversight to reduce confusion and anxiety for clients at home
• Assist with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meals with kindness and patience
• Aid with laundry, light cleaning, and keeping the home neat and comfortable
• Provide transportation to appointments, run errands, and assist with grocery shopping
• Offer companionship through conversation, music, crafts and activities to support emotional well-being
• Provide specialized care for clients living with Alzheimer’s/dementia, stroke recovery, Parkinson’s, diabetes, and end-of-life care

As a Private Duty Caregiver, you will support older adults and adults with disabilities in their homes by providing:

• Redirection, stability, and oversight to reduce confusion and anxiety
• Help individuals start and end their day with confidence by assisting with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meals, while offering kindness, patience, and meaningful support
• Support a calm and welcoming home by helping with routine needs like laundry, light cleaning, and keeping the space neat and comfortable
• Help clients stay active and engaged by driving them to appointments, completing errands together, and assisting with grocery shopping
• Foster emotional well-being by spending quality time with clients through conversation, music, crafts, and other activities that bring joy and connection
• Give specialized, compassionate care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, stroke recovery, Parkinson’s, diabetes, and those receiving end-of-life support

Private Duty Caregivers for Safe and Sound Home Care are dependable, compassionate, and dedicated to providing quality caregiving services. We pride ourselves on hiring private duty caregivers who:

• Have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and valid insurance
• Are available to work some weekends
• Have at least 1 year of experience (preferred, not required)

Private Duty Caregivers must also pass background screening requirements and undergo drug testing.
