Job summary

Griswold Home Care in Missouri is seeking caring caregivers to provide non-medical elderly care and companionship on day shifts. You will assist clients with transfers, personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation to appointments.

Requirements include 2+ years of caregiving experience, a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and the ability to pass drug and background checks. Weekly direct deposit and flexible scheduling are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of related caregiving experience.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle with current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a drug test and a background check.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Transferring and positioning the client.
• Observing and reporting changes in physical and mental conditions.
• Skin care - apply over the counter lotions to prevent dry skin.
• Clean and maintain medical equipment (wheelchair, hospital bed, shower chair, Hoyer lift).
• Accompany client to grocery, doctor appointments, or pharmacy errands.
• Meal prep and post-meal cleanup.
• Basic home chores (sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry).
• Personal care assistance (toileting - incontinence).
• Bathing - assist transfers into the shower.
• Dressing assistance.
• Companionship and conversation.
