Job summary

The Glen Retirement System in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Private Dining Room Attendant to join our Culinary Team on a PRN, as-needed basis. Shifts are 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m.

– 4:00 p.m. on Sundays. You will provide quality food service to residents and guests under sanitary guidelines, assist in dietary duties, and support dining room operations. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior dining or server experience, ServeSafe completion, and strong communication

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dining room attendant or server experience and/or training preferred.
• Completion of ServeSafe course upon hire.
• Must be a people-oriented individual, have excellent oral communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Computer skills appropriate to job tasks include Point-of-Sale system.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu.
• Takes food and beverage orders and processes payments on the POS.
• Coordinates with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Serves food and beverages to guests and maintains dining area.
• Fills in for absent staff and closes the POS at shift end.
