Eataly Houston is seeking a Private Dining Manager to lead private dining reservations, storewide buyouts and partner events. You will report to the General Manager of Restaurants and drive sales through client relationships.

The role requires 5+ years in events sales and 2+ years in event planning/production, with on-site work at Eataly Houston. Proficiency with Tripleseat and Microsoft Office is preferred, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends is expected.

Job Description

The Private Dining (Events and Sales) Manager focuses on private dining reservations, storewide buyouts and partner events at an Eataly location. Reports to the General Manager of Restaurants.

• Generates events sales by scouting new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients
• Serves as the point of contact for clients to plan events, develop contracts, detail events, and help the restaurant and store teams to execute events
• Works with all event vendors including: florists, rental company, security
• Partners with the Eataly operations team (Culinary, Front of House, Retail and Quick Service) on event preparation
• Meets with clients for additional walk-throughs to finalize event detailsProcesses all catering requests in collaboration with the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) team
• Manages all catering events from start to finish; books, plans and executes functions
• Helps develop and maintain private event menu offerings
• Creates proposals, contracts and event orders, as well as packages tailored to each client’s requests
• Recaps events and provides operation, sales and production suggestions to the team
• Maintains fiscal responsibility in terms of rentals, supplies and labor
• Manages day-to-day catering requests and works closely with the QSR team to ensure proper execution of catering orders
• Maintains industry knowledge including principles and practices within catering
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

• 5+ years of experience in events sales
• 2+ years of experience in event planning and/or production
• 2+ years of experience restaurant private events
• Experience with Tripleseat (Event Management Software) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Availability to occasionally attend workshops, tradeshows and conventions
• Must be able to work on-site at Eataly Houston

The yearly compensation for this role is $65,000 - $70,000 + commission.
