The successful candidate will take a lead role in transaction underwriting and execution while working alongside senior investors on portfolio management, strategic initiatives, and lender relationship development. This is a highly visible position offering meaningful responsibility and direct exposure to investment decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Assess prospective investment opportunities through comprehensive financial, operational, and industry analysis.

  • Conduct diligence on businesses, management teams, industries, and transaction structures.
  • Draft internal investment recommendations and communicate findings to senior investment professionals.
  • Coordinate execution workstreams with borrowers, sponsors, advisors, consultants, and legal counsel.
  • Evaluate financing structures and negotiate key economic and structural terms.
  • Support ongoing portfolio management by monitoring company performance, reviewing quarterly results, and identifying emerging risks or opportunities.
  • Participate in amendment, refinancing, and special situation processes when required.
  • Serve as a resource to junior investment professionals by providing guidance on underwriting, financial analysis, and transaction execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships across the private equity, investment banking, and lending communities.
Candidate Profile
  • 7-12 years of experience within direct lending, private credit, leveraged finance, corporate banking, credit investing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of credit underwriting, capital structures, transaction structuring, and risk assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading diligence and execution processes for middle market transactions.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to evaluate businesses across a variety of sectors and identify key value drivers and investment risks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate investment recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience interacting with management teams, financial sponsors, and external advisors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
What the Role Offers
  • Direct exposure to investment committee discussions and deal decision-making.
  • Broad responsibility across underwriting, execution, and portfolio management.
  • Opportunity to work on complex transactions involving private equity sponsors and founder-owned businesses.
