Job summary

Ally Financial is hiring an Analyst for the Lender Finance team in NYC or Bethesda, MD. You will support portfolio management, credit underwriting, and deal execution for private credit facilities, working with experienced teammates across the platform.

The role offers exposure to asset-based lending, fund finance, and structured credit through ongoing oversight and live transactions, with opportunities to learn Ally's credit standards and use AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a transaction-oriented environment.
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to develop expertise in private credit, fund finance, and structured lending markets.
• Sound judgment and accountability; willingness to raise questions on emerging credit concerns.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Excel/Word; plus data visualization or AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing portfolio management, credit monitoring, and risk oversight of facilities.
• Review monthly borrowing bases, collateral reporting, compliance certificates, and financial statements.
• Analyze loan portfolios to assess collateral, borrower performance, leverage, and key metrics.
• Review loan tapes and calculate borrowing base availability using eligibility criteria and reserves.
• Prepare portfolio reviews and risk assessments with recommended actions for stakeholders.
• Assist with evaluating new lender finance opportunities from screening to closing and onboarding.
• Evaluate asset managers' investment strategies, underwriting, servicing, and track records.
