Job summary

Ally in New York/Bethesda-based Lender Finance team is seeking an Analyst to support portfolio management, credit underwriting, and deal execution across private credit facilities.

You will review borrowing bases, collateral reports, financial statements, and new collateral eligibility while collaborating with senior team members to evaluate opportunities from screening to closing. This role offers exposure to asset-based lending and AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication; translate analysis into credit recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a transaction-oriented environment.
• Intellectual curiosity in private credit, fund finance, and structured lending markets.
• Collaborative mindset across originations, portfolio management, credit, legal, operations, and capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio management and risk oversight of facilities for private credit funds and asset managers.
• Review borrowing bases, collateral reporting, certificates, and financial statements.
• Analyze loan portfolios for collateral, borrower performance, and leverage.
• Review loan tapes and calculate borrowing base availability with criteria and reserves.
• Prepare portfolio reviews and risk assessments for internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate new lender finance opportunities from screening to closing.
• Assess asset managers’ investment strategies and underwriting processes.
• Conduct transaction due diligence with financial statements, memos, and third-party reports.
• Prepare investment approval materials with credit rationale and structure.
• Develop expertise in private credit markets and Ally’s standards via active participation.
• Leverage data and AI-enabled tools to improve loan-tape analysis and reporting.
