Job summary

Quaestor Advisors, LLC, expanding its Portfolio & Asset Management team, seeks an Associate focused on private credit and asset-based lending. You will monitor portfolios, perform valuations, and support underwriting and reporting while collaborating with senior members and other internal groups.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years in private credit or related fields, strong modeling skills, and excellent communication. MBA/CFA is a plus; NY on-site roles with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of related experience in private credit, direct lending, asset-based financing, leveraged finance, credit risk, or related discipline.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills are required.
• Strong financial modeling skills and ability to adapt across credit situations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Collaborative team player who works effectively across internal groups.

Responsibilities

• Monitor a portfolio of private credit and asset-based investments, reviewing financials and covenant compliance.
• Assist in underwriting new opportunities and re-underwriting existing portfolio companies.
• Conduct quarterly valuations and mark-to-market analysis for fair value determinations.
• Build and maintain financial models including cash flow projections and IRR analysis.
• Analyze borrower cash flows, collateral coverage, deal structure and sector trends.
• Prepare portfolio monitoring reports and KPI dashboards for management.
• Support dashboards, reporting tools, and AI-driven process improvements.
• Assist in structuring amendments, add-on financings, and waivers with the deal team.
• Draft investment committee memoranda on new investments and amendments.
• Coordinate with legal, valuation, and accounting advisors on diligence.
• Communicate with portfolio company management and sponsors, including lender calls.
• Track market and industry trends across assigned sectors.
• Document process frameworks and lead ad hoc portfolio projects.
