Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking an Investment Analyst to join a top-tier global asset manager's Private Credit team in New York. The role offers exposure to a high-volume deal flow, direct access to senior investors, and a clear path for long-term growth within credit investing.

You will evaluate lending opportunities, conduct due diligence, build financial models, structure debt terms, and assess downside protection.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of Investment Banking experience, ideally in Leveraged Finance, Credit, or M&A
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Interest in credit investing and risk-focused underwriting

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new lending opportunities and investment theses
• Conduct in-depth due diligence on business quality and cash flow sustainability
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and scenario analyses
• Structure debt investments, including terms, covenants, and capital structures
• Assess downside protection, leverage profiles, and recovery outcomes
• Support ongoing portfolio monitoring and investment management
