Selby Jennings is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join its Private Credit team in New York. The role involves evaluating private credit opportunities, building financial models, and conducting due diligence to support investment decisions across senior secured direct lending and related strategies.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals, contribute to the full investment process, and gain exposure to structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Restructuring, Financial Sponsors, Corporate Banking, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and work ethic.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite private credit investment opportunities
• Build and analyze financial models, cash flow forecasts, and capital structure analyses
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including company, industry, and management assessments
• Prepare investment memoranda and materials for internal approval processes
• Support transaction execution and deal structuring efforts
• Monitor portfolio company performance and identify additional financing opportunities
• Work closely with senior investment professionals throughout the investment lifecycle
