Job summary

Selby Jennings in New York City is partnering with a private credit secondaries firm to hire a Senior Analyst. You will lead investment analysis, underwriting, and due diligence for opportunities across private credit secondaries, co-investments, fund-of-funds, and direct investments.

You will drive deal execution, portfolio monitoring, and preparation of investment memos for senior leadership, with significant exposure to decisions shaping portfolio construction and capital deployment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in investment banking (preferably leveraged finance), private credit, secondaries, co-investments, or fund of funds.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Investment Analysis & Underwriting: Conduct due diligence, financial modeling, and credit analysis for potential investments.
• Deal Execution: Support transaction structuring, documentation, and coordination with legal and third-party advisors.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor existing investments, track performance metrics, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Investment Committee Support: Prepare and present investment memos and recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Operational Support: Assist with reporting, tracking deal flow, and maintaining internal systems and documentation.
