Cooley LLP in Palo Alto is seeking an associate for its elite, global corporate practice. The role targets attorneys with four to six years of general corporate experience with private and public companies.

Ideal candidates will have experience serving high-growth businesses in formations, financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. A background in a national or international law firm and a strong academic record from a recognized law school are expected.

Qualifications

• Associates with 4–6 years of general corporate experience with private and public companies.
• Experience representing high-growth businesses in formations, financings, mergers & acquisitions and general corporate matters.
• Experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm and a strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school.

Responsabilités

• Provide corporate counsel to private and public companies on formations, financings, and M&A.
• Counsel clients on ongoing corporate matters and governance.
• Collaborate with partners on complex transactional work in a global practice.
