Job summary

The Army and Navy Club in the United States is seeking a Dining Room Server to greet Members and guests, deliver polished service, and coordinate with kitchen, bar, and banquet teams. You will ensure a warm, memorable dining experience that reflects ANC’s hospitality standards and the Club’s “Serve Those Who Serve” spirit.

Responsibilities include presenting menus, taking orders, serving and checking in with guests, handling payments, and maintaining a clean dining room.

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant, hotel, or club preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly enough to communicate with Members, guests, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet Members and guests warmly, escort or seat them as needed.
• Present menus, answer questions about items, ingredients, and preparation, and make recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages according to club standards and etiquette.
• Check in with Members and guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
• Clear and reset tables between courses and after guests depart.
• Process payments and Member charges accurately per club procedures.
• Communicate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Follow sanitation and responsible alcohol service rules and regulations.
