Job summary

The Army and Navy Club seeks a Banquet Captain to lead banquet staff for private dinners, receptions, and Club events, ensuring professional execution and adherence to Club standards. You will be the on-the-floor leader, coordinating servers, bartenders, and event staff while serving as the primary host contact and partnering with Culinary to deliver a seamless experience.

Open availability is required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory experience in banquet, catering, hotel, or club settings.
• Strong communication and organization to manage service flow and staff.
• Knowledge of banquet service styles and safety/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review BEOs, floor plans, and timelines to prep for functions.
• Lead setup, service, break-down, and post-event cleanup to Club standards.
• Direct banquet staff, coordinate with culinary and service teams, ensure pacing.
