Job summary

Bankwell in New Canaan, CT is seeking an Associate Group Director to support the Private Client Group Director, manage existing customer relationships, and assist in originating new commercial banking relationships. The role focuses on growing demand deposits and cross-selling treasury and cash management services.

You will work closely with risk, compliance, and operations, deliver excellent service, identify opportunities to expand the book, and guide clients with tailored treasury solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or economics.
• 3+ years in commercial or private banking.
• Ability to develop and nurture a book of business with low-cost deposits.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Thrives in a high-pressure environment and can meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to recommend process improvements for efficiency.
• Experience with commercial lending is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Expand the team’s book of business by actively marketing the Bank’s services to potential clients.
• Proactively grow wallet share through cross-service and cross-sell opportunities for additional low-cost deposits.
• Demonstrate expertise in cash management solutions and related products.
• Analyze client cash flow, liquidity needs, and risks to tailor treasury solutions.
• Leverage treasury management systems to manage daily transactions and reporting.
• Communicate effectively to build and maintain client relationships.
• Provide consultative recommendations on deposits and treasury solutions.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance and operations to improve service delivery.
• Identify sales opportunities to introduce banking products aligned with client goals.
• Maintain high-quality service and timely client responses to ensure satisfaction.
