Job summary

Bankwell Financial Group is seeking a Data Analytics & Private Client Group Analyst to act as a strategic partner to the Head of Private Client Group. You will provide analytical support, business intelligence, portfolio reporting, and project coordination in a fast-paced commercial banking environment.

The role emphasizes data analytics, AI-driven automation, and executive-level reporting, with time allocated to coordination and support tasks to maximize analytical impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial banking, financial services, business analytics, or a related support role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, lookup functions, dashboard development, and financial modeling.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain commercial lending and deposit dashboards, scorecards and KPI reporting.
• Analyze loan production, pipeline activity, deposits, portfolio concentrations, credit quality metrics, and profitability trends.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and management summaries for senior leadership and Board reporting purposes.
• Prepare draft term sheets, including facility descriptions, pricing, covenants, and related structuring language.
• Identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the portfolio through data analysis and recommend actions.
