Job summary

A caregiving agency is seeking a professional caregiver to provide full-time support in the Houston area, working 7a-7p for 2-3 days a week including alternating weekends. The role involves engaging with clients through companionship, assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, and maintaining cleanliness. Strong communication skills and a compassionate nature are essential for success in this position. The caregiver will also ensure the rights of clients are respected and upheld at all times.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
• Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.
• Proficient in maintaining cleanliness and organization within living spaces.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the client, family, co-workers, and agency Administrators.

• Ability to lift and assist residents safely while adhering to proper techniques.
• Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to providing respectful care.
• Dependable and equipped with reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and consistent availability.
• Dedicated professional with a strong work ethic and a proven ability to consistently honor work schedule commitments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, medication management, and toileting.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs.
• Maintain cleanliness in resident living areas, including laundry and housekeeping tasks.
• Monitor residents’ health and report any changes in condition to the agency Administrator.
• Ensure client rights are respected and upheld at all times.
• Assist in daily ambulation as needed.
