Job summary

William Blair seeks an Analyst for PWM Private Capital to support screening, financial modeling, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring across private equity and venture investments. You will collaborate with senior team to prepare client-ready materials and investment recommendations.

Responsibilities include building robust models, conducting market research, coordinating deal execution, and maintaining accurate pipelines and reporting while ensuring compliance and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced Degree and/or Industry Designations preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment banking and/or private markets investing.
• Completion of an investment banking training program preferred.
• Licenses: SIE, Series 7, 63/65 (or 66) required or to be acquired within 180 days of employment.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, valuation, and financial statement analysis.
• demonstrated financial modeling capability including DCF and comparable analyses.

Responsibilities

• Analyze private capital opportunities and develop preliminary investment recommendations.
• Build and maintain integrated financial models and valuation analyses.
• Perform analyses of revenue, cash flow, leverage, and capital structure.
• Conduct company/industry research and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Support due diligence across multiple workstreams and elevate key issues.
• Coordinate deal execution and prepare investment materials for committees.
• Monitor portfolio performance and provide recurring updates.
• Maintain pipeline, CRM, and reporting records.
