Job summary

Aparium Hospitality Services–operator of Detroit Foundation Hotel–is seeking a Private Bar Attendant to restock private bars and maintain spotless guest rooms and spaces. You will uphold high standards for cleanliness, organization, and inventory accuracy in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The role requires at least two years of hospitality experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of hospitality experience.
• A passion for cleanliness and pride in serving guests.
• Ability to work well unsupervised.
• Comfort with standing for long periods while cleaning and organizing spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move carts, linen, and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to service guidelines and stock private bars in guest rooms.
• Participate in bi-weekly inventory of products in storage areas and rooms.
• Track sales inventories by product to inform reorders.
• Monitor product expiration dates to maintain quality.
• Charge guests accurately for products used in occupied rooms.
• Complete side work and assist in other food and beverage departments as needed.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in work areas.
• Attend required meetings and communicate improvements.

THE ROLE

The Private Bar Attendant reports to the Guest Service Manager, working to restock our collated private bars while maintaining the consistent cleanliness and organization of our guest rooms and spaces. It is critical that you possess an eye for detail and can maintain our standards of cleanliness.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Adhere and follow Service Guidelines Responsible for stocking all guest room private bars and maintaining.
• Participate in bi-weekly inventory of all products in the Storage Areas and guest rooms.
• Keep track of all sales inventories by product to accurately order more products.
• Keep track of product expiration dates to ensure the highest quality.
• Responsible for tracking occupied rooms and accurately charging guests for products used.
• Complete side work assignments given out by manager.
• Assist in other food and beverage departments when needed.
• Demonstrate high degree of drive and determination.
• Constantly recommend service and product improvement to better the operation.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times.
• Attend all required meetings.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Minimum of two (2) years of hospitality experience, ideally within an upscale, lifestyle, or luxury hospitality company.
• A passion for the importance of cleanliness, initiative to learn and pride in those we serve.
• Ability to work well unsupervised.
• Computer skills helpful but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods of time to meet high volume business.
• Ability to lift, balance and carry up to 25 lbs. to transport carts, cleaning supplies, linen, equipment, etc.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods to clean and organize the guest rooms, spaces, storage, equipment, etc.
• May be required to work varying schedules that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays
