Job summary

Detroit Foundation Hotel is seeking a Private Bar Attendant to stock and maintain private bars, ensuring cleanliness and organization across guest spaces. You will work under the Guest Service Manager in a fast-paced, upscale hotel environment.

The role requires at least two years in hospitality, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to work unsupervised. It offers potential for growth and a supportive team culture inside Aparium's Detroit property.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Stock guest room private bars and maintain cleanliness.
• Bi-weekly inventory of products in storages and guest rooms.
• Track product inventories to order more items.
• Monitor product expiration dates to ensure quality.
• Charge guests for products used in occupied rooms.
• Complete side work as assigned by manager.
• Assist other food and beverage departments when needed.
• Demonstrate drive and determination in daily tasks.
• Suggest service and product improvements to improve operations.
• Keep work area clean and tidy at all times.
• Attend required meetings.

It doesn’t matter where you are, you can’t help yourself from refolding the bathroom towels.

THE ROLE

The Private Bar Attendant reports to the Guest Service Manager, working to restock our collated private bars while maintaining the consistent cleanliness and organization of our guest rooms and spaces. It is critical that you possess an eye for detail and can maintain our standards of cleanliness.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Adhere and follow Service Guidelines Responsible for stocking all guest room private bars and maintaining.
• Participate in bi-weekly inventory of all products in the Storage Areas and guest rooms.
• Keep track of all sales inventories by product to accurately order more products.
• Keep track of product expiration dates to ensure the highest quality.
• Responsible for tracking occupied rooms and accurately charging guests for products used.
• Complete side work assignments given out by manager.
• Assist in other food and beverage departments when needed.
• Demonstrate high degree of drive and determination.
• Constantly recommend service and product improvement to better the operation.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times.
• Attend all required meetings.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Minimum of two (2) years of hospitality experience, ideally within an upscale, lifestyle, or luxury hospitality company.
• A passion for the importance of cleanliness, initiative to learn and pride in those we serve.
• Ability to work well unsupervised.
• Computer skills helpful but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods of time to meet high volume business.
• Ability to lift, balance and carry up to 25 lbs. to transport carts, cleaning supplies, linen, equipment, etc.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods to clean and organize the guest rooms, spaces, storage, equipment, etc.
• May be required to work varying schedules that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays
