Job summary

City National Bank of Florida seeks a Private Banking Director to lead a team of Private Bankers and manage relationships with high net worth clients, including attorneys, CPAs, physicians, and entrepreneurs. You will structure, negotiate, and close loans while ensuring deposits are integral to each transaction, and you will deliver exceptional service with timely responsiveness.

Qualifications

• More than 10 years of Lending experience.
• 5-7 years of leadership or management experience including mentoring, coaching, and influencing.
• Meets and exceeds goals by developing new loans and depository business from prospects and existing clients.
• Cross-sells bank products, including but not limited to Treasury Management Services.
• Formal Credit training preferred.
• Structure, negotiate and close loan transactions while ensuring a deposit component is prevalent in every loan and new relationship.
• Deliver the highest level of client service to the client base with timely responses.
• Develop Private Client Group clientele through business development calling, social functions and association memberships.
• Positive, goal oriented, poised, tactful, team oriented, independent, self-starter, detail oriented and has common sense.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Provide leadership and direction for Private Banking functions.

• Exercise sound judgment in client servicing, pricing, and loan structuring within guidelines.
• Evaluate credit opportunities and participate in underwriting with Risk Officers.
• Negotiate loan terms based on risk, market conditions, and client value.
• Review new and renewal credit requests with appropriate risk partners.
• Maintain portfolio quality and compliance with loan terms and policies.
• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through treasury and deposit products.
• Obtain approvals for new credit requests and modifications.
• Provide timely responses to risk-related inquiries and reports.
• Prepare and submit reports; collaborate with internal partners.
• Structure and negotiate complex credit transactions to mitigate risk.
• Coordinate with Audit, Loan Review, and OCC during examinations.
