Job description

Role overview

J.P. Morgan U.S. Private Bank is hiring an Executive Director, Product Manager to lead the digital capabilities for our Margin product. Margin is a strategically important lending capability for our ultra-high-net-worth clients — and modernizing its digital experience is a direct lever for business growth. Better advisor tools, smarter client-facing experiences, and AI-enabled workflows will unlock new margin utilization, deepen client relationships, and open commercial opportunities that today are constrained by legacy screens and fragmented workflows.

You will own the vision, roadmap, and delivery for the advisor- and client-facing digital experiences that bring margin to life across the USPB digital ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities
  • Set the vision and multi-year roadmap for Margin digital capabilities across USPB advisor and client journeys, tying each investment to measurable business outcomes — margin balances, utilization, advisor productivity, and client adoption.
  • Define the "what" and the "why" — use client and advisor feedback, data, market analysis, and competitive insight to identify the highest-value problems to solve and shape the solutions that address them.
  • Lead platform modernization — move legacy margin experiences onto modern, componentized digital platforms and unify fragmented workflows into a single, scalable experience.
  • Integrate margin into the broader USPB digital ecosystem — ensuring margin shows up consistently and intuitively across advisor and client surfaces, with shared design patterns and services.
  • Embed AI into the margin experience — identify where AI can meaningfully improve advisor decision-making, client transparency, and workflow efficiency, and translate those opportunities into shipped capabilities.
  • Run AI-led product discovery — start from the problem and context, use AI to interrogate the market, vendor landscape, and internal platform capabilities, and ground recommendations in platform reality before moving to solutioning. Leverage modern multi-agent product discovery frameworks to accelerate idea-to-engineer-ready delivery.
  • Partner closely with Technology and Design — work hand-in-hand with engineering and design partners to shape feasible, elegant solutions, make smart trade-offs, and deliver with pace and quality.
  • Partner across the firm with Margin platform, Credit, Risk, Operations, and Business stakeholders to translate platform capabilities into differentiated digital experiences.
  • Operate within a regulated environment — ensure digital capabilities honor the firm's credit risk appetite, regulatory requirements (Reg T/U, FINRA), and internal controls.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
  • Experience - 10+ years in product management, with 5+ in financial services, wealth, or lending digital products
  • Domain - Working knowledge of securities-based lending and margin mechanics; depth in digital product delivery
  • Modernization - Proven track record modernizing legacy advisor or client experiences onto modern digital platforms
  • Discovery - Strong product discovery skills — able to synthesize feedback, data, and market analysis into a clear point of view on what to build and why
  • AI Fluency - Hands-on experience embedding AI into product discovery and product experiences
  • Collaboration - Demonstrated ability to partner deeply with Technology and Design to shape and deliver complex digital products
  • Risk & Controls - Experience delivering regulated digital products with strong risk partnership
  • Influence - Experience influencing senior cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skill:
  • Experience serving UHNW clients and the advisors who support them.
  • Familiarity with modern advisor and client digital platforms in a wealth management context.
  • Exposure to agentic product development and modern AI-enabled discovery methods.
