Job summary

St. Joseph’s Home Health, Inc. seeks an In-Home Personal Caregiver to support clients in their own homes, helping with daily living activities while promoting independence and safety.

You will provide personal care, meal assistance, light housekeeping, companionship, and reminders for medications, with training provided and a flexible weekend/holiday schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus, but not required.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong desire to help others.
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with meal preparation and planning nutritious meals in accordance with dietary needs.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and social activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Monitor and document changes in clients’ physical or mental health and report to supervisors.
• Provide medication reminders and adhere to care plans established by healthcare professionals.
• Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, such as running errands or accompanying them to appointments.
