Job summary

Tsaaro is seeking a Senior Data Protection Consultant to lead engagements across privacy governance, compliance readiness, and risk management. This remote role focuses on delivering high-impact privacy solutions for global clients.

You will design and implement privacy programs, conduct DPIAs and gap assessments, and guide clients through GDPR, CCPA, DPDP Act, and related frameworks, partnering with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data privacy, protection, or cybersecurity consulting.
• Strong understanding of global privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.
• Solid grasp of ISO 27001, 27701, NIST, and related standards.
• Experience with ISMS, DPIAs, RoPA, DPDP Act, and vendor risk assessments.
• Certifications (IAPP/CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee privacy and data protection programs tailored to client needs.
• Evaluate clients’ privacy controls and build actionable roadmaps.
• Lead privacy solution implementations (e.g., TrustArc) including DPIAs, data mapping, consent workflows, and audits.
• Provide strategic guidance on GDPR, CCPA, DPDP and emerging laws.
• Develop privacy policies, training materials, and compliance documentation.
• Drive ISMS implementations and alignment with ISO 27001/27701 and NIST.
• Support incident response and Data Subject Rights processes.

Your Role: Senior Data Protection Consultant As a Senior Consultant, you will serve as a strategic advisor to our clients, leading engagements across privacy governance, compliance readiness, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and overseeprivacy and data protection programs tailored to client needs.

• Evaluate clients’ privacy and security controls, identifying gaps and building actionable roadmaps.
• Lead the implementation, configuration, and management of TrustArc privacy solutions, including data mapping, DPIAs, consent management, DSAR workflows, and compliance monitoring to support GDPR, DPDP, and other privacy regulations
• Lead privacy gap assessments,PIAs,RoPA,DPIAs, andaudits across diverse sectors.
• Provide strategic guidance on regulations including GDPR,CCPA,DPDP Act, and emerging global laws.
• Develop and review privacy policies, training materials, and compliance documentation.
• Drive implementation of ISO 27001, ISO 27701, NIST, and other global frameworks.
• Support incident response planning, breach notification, and Data Subject Rights processes.
• Conductinternal audits, risk assessments, and ISMS documentation in alignment with certification requirements.
• Conductend-to-end third-party risk assessments
• Collaborate with cross-functional client teams to deliverend-to-end privacy solutions.
• Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives including GRC strategy,policy development, andaudit readiness.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data privacy, protection, or cybersecurity consulting.
• Strong understanding of global privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.
• Solid grasp of ISO 27001, 27701, NIST,and related standards.
• ISMS, PIMS, DPDPA, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, UK DPA, PIPEDA Compliance & Frameworks, Privacy Tools (e.g., Securiti.ai)
• Experience in AI Privacy Assessments, compliance projects, ISMS implementation, and client communication.
• Certifications such as IAPP Certifications CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, ISO LA/LI (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, client-facing confidence, and analytical thinking.
• A mindset that issolution-oriented, collaborative, and growth-driven.
