Job summary

Koniag Government Services is seeking a Privacy Analyst to safeguard privacy and ensure transparency through compliance, training, and collaboration with OIG staff and system owners.

You will conduct privacy risk assessments across the lifecycle of PII and address gaps in policies and procedures, including PIAs for IT systems and systems of records, to minimize data exposure and ensure regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience in privacy compliance and program management.
• Ability to conduct privacy risk assessments across the lifecycle of PII.
• Experience analyzing PIAs and identifying privacy risks in IT systems.
• Knowledge of Privacy Act, E-Government Act, and related federal mandates.
• Ability to provide consultative guidance on NIST 800-53 rev 5 and OMB directives.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard privacy and promote transparency through compliance, advice, training, and collaboration with OIG staff and system owners.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments for PII handling throughout the lifecycle and address gaps in policies and procedures.
• Analyze PIAs of IT systems that collect PII to identify risks and opportunities to minimize data collection.
• Support implementation of the Privacy Act, E-Government Act, Presidential E-Gov initiatives, and other legal mandates for proper handling of PII.
• Provide expert consultative guidance on NIST 800-53 rev 5 and related initiatives as needed.
• Prepare deliverables such as talking points, analytical reports, and executive presentations.
