Meta is seeking a Privacy Engineer to join its Privacy Red Team, a proactive unit that identifies privacy risks in Meta’s apps and services. You will perform adversarial assessments, simulate privacy attacks, and drive enhancements to protective data designs at scale.

The role requires senior expertise in privacy testing, threat modeling, and cross-functional collaboration with product, legal, and policy teams. You will guide remediation and shape privacy standards across the company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of privacy engineering, security engineering, or related field with focus on adversarial testing or privacy risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute adversarial privacy assessments across Meta's products to identify data exposure and privacy control failures.
• Develop a red team methodology and testing framework for privacy risks including data minimization failures and cross-context leakage.
• Identify systemic privacy vulnerabilities and drive remediation with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, legal and policy.
• Define and improve privacy red team processes, tooling, and workflows for scalable testing.
• Translate privacy attack findings into actionable risk assessments for both engineers and leadership.
• Partner with privacy engineering, security, and compliance to align findings with regulatory obligations.
• Drive long-term strategy and roadmap for privacy red team operations and emerging threat vectors.
• Mentor engineers on adversarial privacy testing techniques.
