Job summary

Meta is seeking a Privacy Engineer within Privacy Engineering to identify and remediate real-world privacy threats across products and infrastructure. You will guide software engineers through remediations, learn from security incidents, and identify vulnerabilities at scale, helping protect billions of users' privacy.

Responsibilities include incident triage, remediation, root-cause analysis, and building AI-powered pipelines to prevent and remediate privacy issues across Meta products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical privacy or security engineering.
• 5+ years coding in Python, PHP, Java, or C/C++.
• Experience identifying, analyzing, and remediating privacy/security threats.
• BS/MS in CS or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Incident triage and fact identification: Get the right people involved to understand what has happened and assess impact
• Follow the facts uncovered in triage to mitigate and remediate the vulnerability
• Review and understand what happened and ensure that the root cause and contributing factors are identified, documented, and remediated
• Apply technical understanding to ensure Meta learns from each incident to ensure it doesn't resurface
• Build AI agents and agent pipelines to help discover, prevent, and remediate vulnerabilities and privacy issues across all Meta products
