Job summary

BIGHORN Golf Club in Palm Desert, California is seeking a Privacy Officer I to safeguard the club’s properties and assets. You will patrol facilities, monitor cameras, respond to alarms, enforce rules, and coordinate with the Privacy Director and local authorities.

The role requires a High School Diploma, a valid California driver’s license, and a BSIS Guard Card; CPR/First Aid may be administered. This on-site position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in security or related field preferred.
• Requires valid CA driver’s license and BSIS Guard Card.

Responsibilities

• Patrols BIGHORN Golf Club facilities and properties by vehicle or on foot to ensure safety of members, guests, employees and assets.
• Responds to emergency and non-emergency situations, alarms, and communicates with the privacy director and authorities as needed.
• Enforces club rules and local regulations; conducts incident logs and prepares reports.
• Operates security camera systems and basic office computer technology; maintains logs of security activities.
• Provides CPR/First Aid if necessary and participates in safety training as required.
• Assists with access control by opening residential dwellings for vendors, homeowners, and guests as needed.

POSITION OVERVIEWResponsible for the general security of all BIGHORN properties. Patrol in assigned vehicles or on foot all club facilities and property to ensure the safety of members, guests, employees and the club’s assets including property. Respond to all emergency and non-emergency situations, and alarm activations while maintaining radio communications with the communication center. Perform traffic enforcement duties and enforce local regulations as assigned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Observe and reports all persons entering and leaving buildings or residences and remain alert for theft, suspicious persons and/or vehicles.Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Opens residential dwellings for vendors, homeowners and their guestsEnforces all rules and regulations of BIGHORN Golf Club.Operate and understand basic office computer technology.Monitors all appropriate security camera systems.Responds to emergency, fire alarms and burglary alarms and contact Privacy Director and/or police in the event of a disturbance.Administers CPR and First Aid if necessary.Maintains accurate log of all security activities while on duty.Conducts intermittent inspections of the clubhouse, grounds and all other club facilities and areas.Patrols all BIGHORN Properties; prevents unauthorized vehicles and people from entering onto premises.Is familiar with emergency 911 notification procedures.Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Privacy.Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customersTeamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workersSafety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
