Job summary

Interlachen Country Club in Winter Park, FL is seeking a part-time Security Officer to monitor the property by foot and golf cart, respond to emergencies, and document incidents with clarity and professionalism.

This role requires flexibility to work daytime and nighttime shifts, a valid Class D security officer license, and a valid driver’s license. The officer reports to the Facilities Director and supports a safe, well‑managed club environment.

Responsibilities

• Circulate throughout the property on foot and by golf cart to ensure facilities are secure.
• Detect any suspicious activity and ensure doors and entry points are secure.
• Respond to emergency incidents, fire alarm calls, and conduct preliminary investigations; notify fire and/or other emergency services if not already summoned; accurately document information, both written form and with a camera.
• Take command and control of disturbances and disruptive behavior, involving authorities when required.
• Formulate an accurate description of a car, suspect activity and compile the information in an Incident Report.
• Notify management of emergency situations at the club.
• Perform other related tasks as directed by the Facilities Director.
• Follow safe workplace rules and practices in order to prevent on-the-job injuries.

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Security Officer is monitoring the property by foot and golf cart, answering and relaying emergencies to management or emergency services. This is an unarmed, part-time position.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities (may be required to perform any or all duties below):

• Circulate throughout the property on foot and by golf cart to ensure facilities are secure.
