A law firm seeks a talented and motivated mid-level associate to join its Privacy Litigation team in Saint Louis. Duties:
- Take ownership of managing all aspects of privacy litigation cases, from initial research to trial preparation.
- Draft and refine key legal documents, including briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct in-depth legal research on privacy laws and regulations at federal, state, and international levels.
- Collaborate closely with clients and senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and case plans.
- Assist in preparing for trials, including document review, witness preparation, and filing motions.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of privacy law developments and advise clients on emerging issues.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by mentoring junior associates and enhancing client relationships.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a preference for candidates with a focus on privacy or related legal areas.
- Experience in managing case elements, including legal research, document drafting, discovery, and pretrial motions.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex legal issues.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on effective collaboration within a team.
- Active and valid bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
