Job summary

Suno seeks a Privacy Engineering Lead to build Suno's privacy and AI governance functions from scratch. You will set technical direction for data handling across platforms, models, and agents, enforce policy at the point of use, and verify outcomes like retention and deletion.

You will hire and grow a privacy engineering team, partner with Legal and Product, and embed responsible data practices into every new model and feature to empower creative expression for everyone.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years hands-on software engineering experience with enforcement infrastructure.
• Deep privacy engineering or data governance experience, familiar with GDPR/CCPA.
• Experience as an engineering manager or Staff+ ready for people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build policy foundations for data, uses, and AI with Legal partnership.
• Own data discovery, classification, and permissions mapping across systems.
• Design governance controls across products, data platforms, models, and agents.
• Lead user rights operations: access, correction, deletion, consent management.
• Hire and grow a dedicated privacy engineering team.
• Integrate responsible data handling into new models and features.
