Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, and AI Associate with three to six years of experience to join our national practice. This role offers opportunities across our multiple office locations and involves servicing clients in technology, life sciences, healthcare, financial services, retail and media on complex privacy, cybersecurity and AI issues.

You will work on governance programs, incident response, regulatory matters, and transactions, collaborating with partners

Qualifications

• Three to six years of experience advising clients on data privacy, cybersecurity, or AI matters.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other U.S. state privacy laws, plus emerging AI laws.
• Experience with incident response, AI governance, or privacy aspects of transactions preferred.
• Certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or AIGP strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide privacy, cybersecurity, and AI guidance across multiple matter streams for clients.
• Develop and implement privacy and cybersecurity programs, notices, policies, DPAs, DPIAs, and risk assessments.
• Design intake and response workflows for consumer rights requests, including verification.
• Advise on AI governance programs and related regulatory considerations for deployment and contracts.
• Support incident response efforts including data gathering, legal analysis, and multi-jurisdictional notices.
• Advise on ad tech and digital marketing compliance in line with state laws and risk management.
• Assist on privacy, cybersecurity, and AI aspects of M&A, financings, and technology transactions.
• Support regulatory inquiries and investigations by state and federal regulators.
