Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school, strong academic credentials, and admission to at least one state bar association
• At least two years of relevant experience at a leading law firm or in-house in privacy role
• Practical knowledge of U.S. state and federal privacy laws

Responsibilities

• Act as sole North America privacy counsel advising on U.S. and Canadian privacy, direct marketing, data breach and data broker laws
• Advise on day-to-day routine business queries, such as privacy and opt-out requests, employee monitoring, direct marketing, contract reviews, data incidents, and data broker registrations and disclosures
• Review and assess privacy considerations for specific projects, including impact analyses of new laws, M&A due diligence, regulatory inquiries and litigation
• Provide legal support on emerging data privacy, data broker, and related laws in the U.S.
