Qualifications

  • Experience performing privacy reviews of programs or systems and identifying privacy implications.
  • Assisting in the review of program or system information to identify privacy implications and recommend safeguards.
  • Leading privacy compliance monitoring activities (reviews, assessments, audits) and documenting corrective actions.
  • Drafting privacy guidance, briefings, or training materials and communicating privacy requirements to program staff.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts privacy compliance reviews of CBP programs and systems, assesses privacy risks, and develops recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities, coordinating with senior staff on complex issues.
  • Develops, reviews, and coordinates privacy documentation (PIAs, SORNs, PTAs, data sharing agreements), ensuring completeness and regulatory alignment.
  • Analyzes CBP data collection, use, and sharing practices, evaluates data minimization and security measures, and recommends improvements to strengthen privacy protections.
  • Serves as a liaison on privacy matters, supporting program operations, stakeholder engagement, and privacy incident response activities, including investigations and risk assessments.
