Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) seeks a Per Diem physician for on-site care at Rikers Island, NY. You will perform intake histories, manage urgent and chronic conditions, and coordinate with the care team in a jail-based clinic.

NY license, active DEA, BCLS/ACLS, and infection control certification required. Board certification or eligibility in a medical specialty is expected, with 3–5 years related experience.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in New York State with Federal DEA and BCLS/ACLS, plus Infection Control Certification.
• Board certification or eligibility in a medical specialty.
• 3–5 years of directly related experience including residency in a related specialty.
• Familiar with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive histories and physicals on new admissions.
• Diagnoses and treats acute and chronic illness.
• Orders radiology, lab tests, and EKGs as indicated.
• Provides supervision and coaching for P.A.’s/NP’s.
• Ensures adherence to CHS policies and quality standards.
• Attends mandatory in-services and maintains employee health requirements.
