Job summary

The Physician Affiliate Group of New York is seeking a Per Diem Physician for a challenging role on Rikers Island, offering medical care and mental health services to incarcerated populations. Qualifications

• Registered to practice medicine in New York.
• Hold Federal DEA, BCLS/ACLS, and Infection Control Certification.
• 3-5 years of experience in a related medical specialty required.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive histories and physicals on new admissions.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illness.
• Evaluate need for consult services.

Skills

Registered to practice medicine

Federal DEA certification

BCLS or ACLS certification

Infection Control Certification

Board certified or Board eligible

Familiar with EHR

Education

Medical Specialty License or Certification

3 to 5 years of related experience
