Job summary

City of Philadelphia’s Office of Human Resources seeks a Prison Maintenance Group Leader 2 to supervise a team of Prison Trades Worker 2s in the Philadelphia Prisons. The incumbent directs maintenance, repair, and diagnosis of complex equipment and oversees inmates under custody and guidance.

The role reports to a higher-level maintenance supervisor and requires occasional moderate physical effort as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years of trades experience in the area of specialization.
• Two years of experience at the full performance level in the area of specialization.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience that includes the described experience.
• Training in a post-high-school approved trade curriculum for 6 months to 1 year can be creditable.
