Job summary

Southeast Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for the Prison Education Program to teach psychology, sociology, and/or anthropology. This part-time temporary role involves instructing students at a correctional facility and includes providing a variety of instructional strategies and maintaining student records.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in a relevant field and teaching experience. Benefits include eligibility for a retirement plan. Open until filled.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Psychology, Sociology, and/or Anthropology.
• Teaching experience equivalent to at least 18 semester hours at secondary or post-secondary level.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in psychology, sociology, and/or anthropology classes.
• Utilize various instructional strategies in the classroom.
• Maintain accurate student records on attendance and achievement.
