Network Engineer-Must Have Prisma Access and SASE Palo Alto and Managed Service Provider
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled senior networking engineer with a focus on Prisma Access and Palo Alto Firewalls to join our dynamic IT team. This individual will be customer-facing and responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and partnership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues related to compute and storage systems. This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service abilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on network engineering and administration experience supporting complex enterprise or multi-tenant environments.
- Extensive expertise in the deployment, configuration, and management of Palo Alto Firewalls across diverse environments.
- Experience managing and maintaining Checkpoint Firewall infrastructure, including upgrades, policies, and troubleshooting.
- Significant experience implementing and administering Prisma Access solutions in production environments.
- Deep understanding of core networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, DMZ architecture, and enterprise-level routing and switching.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience implementing and managing SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) Palo Alto Prisma Access.
Preferred:
- 10+ years of progressive network engineering experience supporting complex enterprise or multi-tenant environments.
- Prior experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment or in a customer-facing technical role.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard network and systems monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, New Relic, DataDog, BigPanda, Dynatrace, or similar.
- Extensive expertise in network systems engineering, including integrating and managing cross-platform systems and services.
- Strong proficiency in LAN/WAN bandwidth analysis, network performance optimization, and capacity planning.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools, particularly Python, for network automation, monitoring enhancements, or operational efficiency improvements.
- Professional certifications in networking disciplines such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer), NSE4+ (Fortinet Network Security Expert), or equivalent.
- Ability to produce high-quality business presentations and technical documentation tailored to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- Experience implementing and managing various SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions such as Zscaler, FortiSASE, or Cato Networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot customer environment utilizing network management and monitoring software and systems.
- Specific prior experience managing enterprise firewalls is required.
- Specific prior experience managing multi-factor authentication systems, like Prisma is required.
- Designs, configures, or troubleshoots complex routing on LAN or WAN including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
- Providing technical support and guidance for customer IT initiatives as well as end users.
- Recommendation of upgrades & patches and oversight of work done by a remote team.
- Ability to identify, track, and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed timeframes.
- Willingness to work at one customer location, but ability to travel to other customer locations on an as needed basis.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring end-user satisfaction and maintaining a positive relationship with clients.
