Job summary

NISSHINBO Automotive Manufacturing, Inc. in Covington, GA is hiring a Manufacturing Prior Process Utility Operator for night shift. You will operate machines that fabricate parts and monitor various process operations to ensure quality and efficiency.

You will review specifications, adjust settings, document results clearly, and report machine issues promptly. You’ll also support changeovers and lot startup to keep production on track.

Position Title: Manufacturing Prior Process Utility Operator

Reports To: Manufacturing Prior Senior Supervisor

Department: Manufacturing

Position Status: Non-Exempt C/D – Shifts

Essential Responsibility

This position is responsible for operating machines that fabricate parts and possesses knowledge of various manufacturing machines, process operations, and product ID for CL/TL and AA/AL.

Key Tasks / Primary Responsibilities

• Reviews specifications by reading process standards to determine machine adjustments and material requirements; determines accuracy of machine operations by measuring work piece dimensions; observes machines, detects work piece defects and machine malfunctions; handles scrap/rework products properly.
• Operates machines to meet or exceed daily production targets; activates machine through buttons; completes required documents clearly and timely; reports any machine problems to management promptly; performs additional functions as assigned.
• Operates machine and covers breakouts as assigned by Supervisor on a daily basis; possesses required knowledge of changeover processes for multiple machines.
• Manages startup and completion for lot management properly.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must have two years experience in manufacturing and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Manages time and resources using tools provided to maximize productivity and accomplish tasks on time.
• Keeps management informed by participating in meetings and reporting problems verbally or in writing to avoid confusion.

• Preferred experience operating at least one machine in Grade 4, Grade 5 or equivalent manufacturing experience.
