Overview

We are seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team. Under the supervision of the Customer Care Manager, this role involves obtaining pre-authorizations for medications and diagnostics, scheduling outpatient testing, and coordinating patient orders.

Candidate Qualifications
  • Licensure/Certification: None
  • Education: High School Diploma required
  • Experience: Previous clinic experience preferred
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, customer relations, data organization and interpretation, good judgment, tact, diplomacy, problem-solving, teamwork, computer proficiency
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods; ability to read and understand English; maintain confidentiality
Job Responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and requirements by contacting insurance carriers
  • Request, track, and obtain prior authorizations within required timeframes
  • Document all communications and contacts accurately and professionally
  • Perform other duties as assigned
