Our clinical team is seeking a full-time, 36-hour weekly Prior Authorization Nurse at our Mulberry Street Clinic in Evansville, IN.

Schedule: Monday/Tuesday, 8a-5p; Wednesday, 8a-12p; Thursday/Friday, 8a-5p.

• NO WEEKENDS OR EVENINGS!
• 13 PAID HOLIDAYS! (we do not work on these days)

We are an FQHC providing healthcare to the insured, uninsured, under-insured, and homeless populations. Currently, we have over 150 team members committed to serving our community in a supportive environment. We serve approximately 15,000 patients across six clinics.

JOB SUMMARY

The PA Nurse manages the prior authorization process, verifying insurance, communicating with pharmacies and providers, suggesting medication alternatives, placing medication orders, and researching drug formularies to ensure efficient, cost-effective patient medication access.

Minimum Requirements

• RN/LPN or experienced CMA
• Valid Nursing License or Certification (RN, LPN, CMA)
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of medications and insurance, preferred for all carriers
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of diagnosis codes
• Ability to work collaboratively in team settings
