AmeriPharma is seeking a Prior Authorization Coordinator I to verify patient insurance and obtain prior authorizations, ensuring timely access to specialty medications and home infusion therapies.

The role operates on-site in Laguna Hills, CA, with Monday–Friday 8:00AM–5:30PM schedule and a focus on accuracy, compliance, and effective communication with payers, providers, and patients.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Experience with managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare/Medicaid.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Intake, screening and insurance verification for prior authorizations.
• Submit PA requests and coordinate clinical review with staff.
• Manage caseload to meet metrics and timelines.
• Document payer communications and update patient accounts.
• Communicate with providers and payers to obtain needed records.
• Escalate issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
