Job summary

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Production Planner, maintaining equipment, tracking attendance, and driving continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in flexographic printing or pressroom supervision.
• Experience in manufacturing with shift leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of GMPs and safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Approve daily production runs and ensure final quality.
• Coordinate maintenance checks and write work orders for repairs.

Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Pressroom Supervisor for their production facility near Hendersonville TN (Northern Nashville). This is a Night Shift position working 6p-6a on a 3-2-2-3 Schedule. Candidates with flexographic printing or pressroom experience are preferred. The Supervisor will oversee manufacturing activities concerned with production of company products & direct / coordinate a team of about 20 operators in a high speed, automated packaging manufacturing facility. This candidate will be responsible for the overseeing & maintaining goals of machine production, quality, waste, plant safety, and cleanliness. Relocation Assistance is provided. Responsibilities

• Complete final job approvals on daily production runs.
• Coordinate routine maintenance checks of machines for preventative maintenance and repairs needed and writes maintenance work orders if necessary to ensure efficient operation of machinery.
• Communication of production schedules established by Production Planner with previous and following shift.
• Monitor and track daily attendance of all employees on shift.
• Check unavailable roll stock report on a daily basis
• Conducts monthly safety and quality meetings with employees.
• Oversees and maintain upkeep of production equipment
• Communicates with Customer Service Department to answer questions on production capabilities.
• Assists operators when needed in maintaining and adjusting equipment.
• Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality in ones’ area of responsibility and continually monitor them to ensure they are effective.

Qualifications

• College Degree preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in flexographic printing and/or pressroom supervision | Pulp/Paper, Plastic Films, Cardboards, Cartons, Pouches, Bags, etc.
• Flexibel Packaging Experience Heavily Preferred & Desired
• Previous Shift Leader / Supervisor Experience in Manufacturing
• Possess good knowledge of GMP's & Safety Principles
