Job summary

Kenmore Envelope Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled KBA press operator to print envelopes to quality standards while maintaining speed and minimizing downtime. Your responsibilities include set-up, operation, and maintenance of a sheet-fed offset press.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years as a KBA pressman, experience with Koenig & Bauer/Heidleberg/Speedmaster as noted, and the ability to work a 12-hour night shift in a full-time role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• KBA press experience required, Heidelberg/Speedmaster familiarity acceptable.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3 years as a KBA pressman required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust Koenig & Bauer press to meet job specs.
• Operate and maintain sheet-fed offset printing press.
• Make color and register corrections prior to runs.
• Monitor product quality and minimize waste.
• Perform press repairs, maintenance, and cleaning.

Job Purpose

To print envelopes that meet company quality standards while maintaining optimum speeds and minimal downtime

Main Responsibilities And Accountabilities

Responsible for making ready, operating, and maintaining sheet-fed offset printing press. This includes set-up and adjustment of KBA press for job runs to meet specifications. Make necessary color or register corrections and/or press adjustments prior to the production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work.

Required Skills

• Set up / adjust Koenig & Bauer - KBA press for job runs to meet specifications - comparable Heidleburg, Speedmaster experience
• Perform document review to ensure job requirements are known and understood.
• Monitor product quality during production runs.
• Check product quality against the sample and established quality standards and make corrections as necessary.
• Perform press repairs, maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning.
• Follow Pressroom procedures for control sheets, charging time & material, load tags, FSC stock, and samples
• Maintain acceptable productivity standards while minimizing raw material waste
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
