Job summary

Kenmore Envelope Company, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a KBA Pressman who can set up, operate, and maintain a sheet-fed offset press to meet quality standards and production speeds. A minimum of 3 years’ KBA press experience is required.

You will make color and register adjustments, monitor quality during runs, perform press maintenance, and follow pressroom procedures to minimize downtime and waste. This is a full-time role with a competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
KBA press experience is required (3 years).
Must be able to set up, adjust, and operate press per job specifications.
Strong attention to quality and downtime.

Responsibilities

Set up / adjust Koenig & Bauer - KBA press for job runs to meet specifications.
Perform color or register corrections and press adjustments prior to production run to meet quality specs.
Monitor product quality during production runs and ensure adherence to standards.
Check product quality against samples and standards and make corrections as needed.
Perform press repairs, maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning.
Follow pressroom procedures for control sheets, charging time & material, load tags, FSC stock, and samples.
Maintain productivity while minimizing material waste.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

To print envelopes that meet company quality standards while maintaining optimum speeds and minimal downtime.

Main Responsibilities And Accountabilities

Responsible for making ready, operating, and maintaining sheet-fed offset printing press. This includes set-up and adjustment of KBA press for job runs to meet specifications. Make necessary color or register corrections and/or press adjustments prior to the production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work.
